SCI Affiliates Donate Services to Texas A&M Bonfire Victims; Home Town Funeral Homes Offer Assistance

HOUSTON, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Service Corporation International (NYSE: SRV) is offering its funeral services, free of charge, to families of the victims of the tragedy at the Texas A&M bonfire site.

"We are deeply saddened by this tragic event," said R. L. Waltrip, chairman and chief executive officer of SCI. "Our hearts go out to the friends and families of these fine young people. We wanted to show how much this has affected us by providing assistance during these difficult times," he said.

SCI affiliates Southwood Funeral Home in College Station, Texas, and Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, Texas, were the first to assist the families. Free services are also offered at all affiliated funeral homes of SCI in the hometowns of the victims.

Special memorial books are available for signing at SCI affiliated locations across Texas between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The memorial registers will be delivered to the families at the conclusion of the signing period. Anyone wishing to express their condolences to the families may drop by anytime during the listed hours.
