Service Corporation International Announces Cemetery Management Assignment
HOUSTON, June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Service Corporation International (NYSE: SRV), the world's largest funeral and cemetery company, announces the assignment of J. Daniel Garrison to the position of Vice President of Cemetery Operations for North America. In this new position, Garrison will apply more than 27 years of experience in cemetery management to improving cash flow, product delivery, development and client satisfaction in an important segment of SCI's North American business. Garrison joined SCI in 1978 after holding cemetery management positions in Georgia and Tennessee. He progressed through a series of management assignments that encompassed both funeral home and cemetery operations and was promoted to president of SCI's Southeastern Region in 1992. He assumed responsibility for SCI's international operations in late 1997 and was elected vice president of the Company in early 1998. During his career, Garrison has also served as president of the Southern Cemetery Association and the Florida Cemetery Association.
