Service Corporation International Announces Changes in Senior Management Team and Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend
HOUSTON, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Service Corporation International (NYSE: SRV), the world's largest funeral and cemetery company, today announced changes in the Company's Senior Management team.
Jerald L. Pullins, Senior Executive Vice President, was named Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Mr. Pullins first joined the Company in 1969 as Vice President of Corporate Development and has a long and successful history in the funeral service industry.
W. Blair Waltrip, Executive Vice President, was named Chairman of American Memorial Life Insurance Company (AMLIC). AMLIC is a leading provider of insurance funded prearranged funeral contracts and was acquired by the Company in July 1998.
Todd A. Matherne was named Senior Vice President of the Company. Mr. Matherne joined the Company in 1995 and will continue as Treasurer of the Company.
The Board of Directors of the Company today declared a regular cash dividend of 9 cents per share of common stock of the Company. The cash dividend is payable October 29, 1999, to shareholders of record at the close of business on October 15, 1999.
As of June 30, 1999, SCI affiliates operated 3,824 funeral service locations, 520 cemeteries and 198 crematoria. SCI provides funeral and cemetery services in 20 countries on five continents.
