Service Corporation International Announces Revised Schedule for First Quarter
2004 Earnings Release and Conference Call

HOUSTON, April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Service Corporation International (NYSE: SRV) announced today that it will report its first quarter results on Monday, May 10, 2004, before the financial markets open, followed by a conference call hosted by senior management at 9:00 a.m. (Central Time). The Company originally expected to report results on May 4, 2004; however, it is still in discussions with the Securities and Exchange Commission and other public companies in the death care industry relating to the implementation of Financial Accounting Standards Board Interpretation No. 46, as revised (FIN 46R). FIN 46R is required to be implemented by registrants as of March 31, 2004. Details of the conference call are as follows:
