Service Corporation International to Change Ticker Symbol
HOUSTON, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Service Corporation International (NYSE: SRV), the world's largest funeral and cemetery company, today announced that it will change its New York Stock Exchange trading symbol from SRV to SCI. The change, which will take place at the opening on Friday, August 27, 2004, will more closely identify the Company on Wall Street with the initials by which it has been known since the late 1960s.
